You take return domestic flights enjoying the aerial views of the country from Entebbe International Airport to Kisoro Airstrip. You will visit Mgahinga National Park also home to the Great Apes and trek the Golden Monkeys, Mount. Gorillas and enjoy a Volcano hike.
6 Days Gorilla and Golden Monkey Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival
After arriving Entebbe International Airport, you will clear with immigration, proceed to the arrivals where you will meet your driver guide who will transfer you to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Domestic Flight from Entebbe to Kisoro
Very early breakfast at your hotel, proceed to Entebbe International Airport to catch your domestic flight to Kisoro Airstrip where you will meet your driver guide who will transfer you to your lodge. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking in Uganda
After an early breakfast at the Lodge, drive to Mgahinga National Park headquarters for briefing and thereafter drive to the trail heads for Golden Monkey trekking experience. Mgahinga National Park is one of Uganda’s smallest National Parks, located in the south western corner of the country, it covers slopes of 3 volcanoes Mgahinga, Virunga and Sabinyo found in Uganda, Rwanda and DRC. This park offers the opportunity to trek the Golden Monkeys (Ceropithecus Kandti) in Uganda.
This trek usually takes about 3-4 hrs. When you encounter the habituated Primates and spend an hour with them as they go about their normal day. The monkeys are very playful and inquisitive by nature hence spend their day leaping from one tree branch to another. After the trek, you will return to the lodge to have lunch and spend the rest of the day enjoying the lodge facilities.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga National Park
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for briefing and thereafter go to the start points and off you will proceed for the highlight of the safari. Trekking the Great Apes the Mountain Gorillas is a once in a lifetime and worthwhile experience which takes between 2–6 hours. This group was very mobile group that kept moving from Uganda to Rwanda. You will then return to your lodge for lunch, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Volcano Hike
An early breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for briefing. There are a couple of places in Uganda where hiking can be done and Mgahinga National Park is one of them that one shouldn’t miss. There are 3 volcanoes you can access and hike from this park and the choice is yours depending your fitness levels and time you have. Hiking these Volcanoes is a really rewarding experience because you get to see a lot of attractions en-route. Since you will be doing a day hike you will be hiking Mount.
Mgahinga which is about 3,474m high going through the Gahinga trail which starts from the base of Mountain in recently reclaimed farm land and winds up to the edge of the virgin forest. This hike takes about 6 hours for the entire experience and at the top you will see the crater filled with swamp and giant lobelia. If you are lucky you might see the Golden Monkeys and foot prints of jungle Elephants crossing through the trail sunk in deep mud during your hike through the thick bamboo forest.

Day 6: Departure
After breakfast at the Lodge, you will be assisted with checking out and proceed to Kisoro Airstrip and take a domestic flight to Entebbe International Airport to catch your departure International flight. Meal Plan: B
