Trip highlights: 6 Days Akagera – Volcanoes by Helicopter itinerary will take place in Rwanda; arriving and departing via Kigali International Airport. You will enjoy aerial views of Rwanda as you take helicopter transfers from Kigali to Akagera National Park, to Volcanoes National Park and back to Kigali. Akagera – Volcano by Helicopter Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival
After you arrive Kigali International Airport, clear with immigration and proceed to the arrivals where you will meet your driver guide who will transfer you to your hotel for overnight stay.
Accommodation: The Retreat by Heaven (high-end), Onomo Hotel Kigali (medium) or Five to Five Hotel (budget). Meal Plan: B
Day 2: Helicopter Flight from Kigali to Akagera National Park
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport to take your helicopter flight to Akagera National Park, where you will meet your driver guide who will transfer you to your lodge for check in. After lunch at the lodge relax and in the evening you will go for a game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge.

Day 3: Full Day Akagera National Park
On this day after breakfast, you will proceed for a boat ride on Lake Ihema and have a chance to visit an Island which inhabits a variety of bird species. After lunch you will enjoy a game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge.

Day 4: Helicopter Flight From Akagera to Musanze (Volcanoes National Park)
After breakfast at the Lodge, you will take your helicopter flight to Musanze, where you will meet your driver guide who will drive you to your lodge. Lunch and dinner at the Lodge.
Accommodation: One and Only Gorillas Nest (high-end), Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel (medium) or Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge (budget). Meal Plan: B, L & D
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking
After a very early breakfast at the lodge, you will proceed to the park headquarters for briefing and thereafter drive to the trail heads the start point for your amazing adventure.
You will be trekking the Great Apes, the Mountain Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. This activity could take between 2-6 hours. Rwanda has 12 habituated groups of Mountain Gorillas scattered all over the Park. You will spend an hour watching the habituated group going about their normal day playing, eating… etc
Upon return from your trek, you will be driven back to the lodge where you will have lunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the lodge facilities.

Day 6: Helicopter Flight From Musanze (Volcanoes National Park) to Kigali – Departure
Breakfast at the lodge and after checking out; you will proceed to catch your helicopter flight to Kigali International Airport in order to take your departure International flight. Meal Plan: B
