National parks are areas set aside by a government in order to preserve nature in its natural state. For the same purpose, Uganda has 10 spacious parks in different parts of the country. They have several distinct characteristics beyond their location which make them all a must visit when in Uganda.
Rwenzori is known for its unique flora and fauna diversity makes it renowned. Mt Elgon is crowned with a vast caldera as well as glacial tarns, valleys, and streams. Lake Mburo the only home of Impalas. Queen Elizabeth the only tree climbing lions conservation area. Kidepo the home to a number of unique bird species.
