This astounding Lodge opened its doors in 2020 and sits about 10 kilometers west of Fort Portal Town and over 40 kilometers from Kibale Forest National Park hence making it an amazing place to stay while exploring Kibale Forest National Park (through chimpanzee tracking, forest birding, and forest walks) or the mysterious Amabere ga Nyina Mwiru Caves (breast-like stalactites and stalagmites with a unique cultural significance).

The Luxurious Aramaga Rift Valley Lodge boasts one of the most undisputable views that include the fabulous Blue Mountains of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the snow-capped Mountains of the Moon (Rwenzori Mountains), the beautiful Lake Albert and Semliki Wildlife Reserve. One thing you need to know is that every corner you turn has beautiful views. The Lodge sits on the ridge of the Great Rift Valley and guests’ accommodation is in space-themed pods with 120-degree panorama windows that offer special 80-kilometer views of surrounding areas. The Lodge was constructed while maintaining a low carbon footprint hence most of the raw materials were locally sourced and about 80% of its operations use renewable energy like solar power for lighting and heating.

Accommodation at Aramaga Rift Valley Lodge

Aramaga Rift valley Lodge guests are accommodated in 6 space-themed pods named Orbit, Gravity, Starship, Moonshot, Supernova, and Galactic, each individually and well-appointed to take advantage of the jaw-dropping views as well as natural curves of the natural landscape hence providing privacy as well as private experiences with a unique approach to opulence.

Each of the pods is spacious to provide ultimate relaxation while taking in views even from the comfort of your bed, private rooftop bathtub, or seating area. You don’t have to be in a big space to experience luxury and Aramaga Rift Valley Lodge proves just that. Inside the pods are a large bed and a living area while the green roof features a rooftop hot/cold tub providing a real Jacuzzi experience.

The Moonshot Pod

This is a family room and thus is more spacious with two beds- a King-size bed known as the “French double bed” and a single bed hence making it ideal for guests traveling as a family, Like other pods, it has a cold/hot tub on the rooftop.

The rest of the pods are double or single rooms with French double beds, a wardrobe, and a private bathroom with a shower, a desk, and others.

Facilities and services provided at Aramaga Rift Valley Lodge

The Aramaga observatory is a wonderful place for unwinding in privacy or while interacting with other guests. Also provided here are comfortable seats, an evening fireplace to provide warmth while relaxing, and the telescope that allows you to see other smaller details in surrounding areas.

The Aramaga restaurant has a seating capacity of 12-14 guests at a go and offers a unique and healthy dining experience with a wide range of organic and nutritious local and international foods prepared by skilled chefs. This Lodge’s restaurant has two wings; on the right side of the main building as well as the left-hand side, but guests can choose to have meals at the rooftop tub or observatory. Aramaga Rift Valley Lodge’s swimming pool provides views of Semliki Wildlife Reserve and during certain months, guests are treated to views of huge clouds above the Valley and the Lodge.
