Trip highlights: 7 Days Rwanda Uganda Wilderness Experience itinerary will take place in Rwanda and also in Uganda. Arriving in Rwanda via Kigali International Airport and departing through Entebbe International Airport in Uganda. Evidently you will visit Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda and Mgahinga National Park and thereafter Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. You will trek the Great Apes, the Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda and Uganda. You will also trek the Golden Monkeys in Mgahinga National Park in Uganda. During your tour, you will cross from Rwanda to Uganda via the Cyanika border. On the last day you will enjoy an aerial view of the beautiful terraced hills as you take your domestic flight from Kisoro Airstrip to Entebbe International Airport in Uganda to catch your departure International flight.
Rwanda – Uganda Wilderness Experience Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival
After you arrive Kigali International Airport, clear with immigration and proceed to the arrivals where you will meet your driver guide who will transfer you to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Kigali – Musanze (Volcanoes National Park)
Breakfast at your hotel, along with your driver guide you will start your drive to Musanze. Lunch and dinner at the Lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda
A very early breakfast at the Lodge, with your driver guide proceed to the park headquarters for Gorilla trekking briefing and thereafter proceed to the starting point; trail heads for your amazing adventure. You will be trekking the Mighty Great Apes, the Mountain Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. This activity could take between 2-6 hours. Rwanda has 12 habituated groups of Mountain Gorillas all over the Park. You will spend an hour with the Apes, watching the habituated group going about their normal day playing, eating… etc
You will then drive back to your Lodge where you will have lunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying their facilities.

Day 4: Musanze – Drive to Uganda – Kisoro
After breakfast start your journey to Uganda crossing via the Cyanika border. You will proceed to Kisoro town then to your lodge. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge.

Day 5: Golden Monkey Trekking in Uganda
After an early breakfast at the Lodge, drive to Mgahinga National Park headquarters for briefing and thereafter drive to the trail heads for Golden Monkey trekking experience. Mgahinga National Park is one of Uganda’s smallest National Park, located in the south western corner of the country. It covers slopes of 3 volcanoes Mgahinga, Virunga and Sabinyo found in Uganda, Rwanda and DRC. This park offers the opportunity to trek the Golden Monkeys (Ceropithecus Kandti) in Uganda. This trek usually takes about 4 hrs. When you encounter the habituated Primates, you will spend an hour with them as they go about their normal day. The monkeys are very playful and inquisitive by nature hence spend their day leaping from one tree branch to another. After the trek, you will return to the Lodge to have lunch and spend the rest of the day enjoying the lodge facilities.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Uganda
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for briefing and thereafter go to the start points and off you will proceed into the Impenetrable Forest to enjoy the highlight of the safari. Trekking the Great Apes the Mountain Gorillas is a once in a lifetime and worthwhile experience which takes between 2–6 hours. You will then return to your Lodge for lunch, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Departure
After breakfast at the Lodge, you will be assisted with checking out and proceed to Kisoro Airstrip and take a domestic flight to Entebbe International Airport to catch your departure International flight. Meal Plan: B
