5 Day Murchison Falls and Semuliki National Park Safari.

Roaring Rapids to Boiling Geysers: 5 Days of Wild Wonders in Uganda’s Heartland.

Safari Overview.

The journey will take you to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest park in Uganda, where you can go on game drives in the savannahs and boat excursions on the Nile River. Following that, you’ll travel to Fort Portal, the tourist City of Uganda for an exploration of the Toro Palace and a Cultural Dance evening. You will explore Semuliki National Park the next day where you will have a glimpse at a handful of birds and primates not forgetting the bubbling male and female hotsprings.

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Top of the Falls Experience.

At 6:30 a.m., our driver/guide will meet you at the booked hotel. Following the briefing about the safari, you will drive north to Murchison Falls National Park, passing through the renowned Luwero triangle enroute. Branch to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Trekking.

Enjoy watching the giants in their naturalistic home and after have lunch at the nearby classy restaurants shortly after travelling to Murchison.

Driving to the top of the falls will be part of the itinerary. While there, you will view the stunning Murchison Falls and witness the point at which the Nile bursts into a serene Rainbow overflowing with colour. Take in the sights and sounds of the world’s most impressive waterfall, record your memories with photos and videos, and later transfer to the lodge for meals and rest overnight.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive, Afternoon Boat Cruise.

After breakfast at 6 a.m., you will leave for an early morning game drive. In quest of a variety of wildlife, for instance elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, lions, leopards, giraffes, hartebeests, and several bird species, you will drive along the park’s northern bank.

After lunch at around midday, you will drive to Paraa to undertake on a two-hour Nile launch cruise that will take you up to the Murchison Falls bottom. You may have a chance to see the spectacular hippos, crocodiles, and water birds along the riverbanks. Upon finishing the boat ride, you’ll return to the lodge to relax and take in the views of surroundings. Dinner and overnight at the resort.

Day 3: Travel to Fort Portal, Visit Toro Palace and Cultural Dance Evening at the lodge.

You will get up early to have breakfast at sunup as you take in the vistas of the park in the golden hour and get ready to checkout of the lodge.

Subsequently, travel to Fort Portal. You will drive across the countryside while taking in the breathtaking views, traditional residences, and several spectacular bird species.

Make a lunch stop in Fort Portal Town and after there head to the Toro Palace to have insights into the life of the Toro Monarch and their history. You will afterwards carry on to the lodge kilometres away where you will be entertained by cultural dancers in your comfort. Unwind in the evening, dinner will be served at twilight after which you will rest to prepare for other exhilarating adventures the following day. 

Day 4: Semuliki National Park Exploration. Hot Springs, Primates and Nature Walks.

Proceed to Semuliki National Park in the morning shortly after breakfast at the lodge. Trek the Sempaya Hot Springs trail after a meeting with the park guides. Along the journey, keep an eye out for birds and monkeys.

Boiling geysers shoot two meters into the air via the springs. The pool’s boiling point is 103°C. If you wist to test the water’s temperature, drop some eggs into the boiling water. Sure enough, in just ten minutes, they will be ready to eat.

Go to Fort Portal town for lunch after spending at least two hours at the Hot Springs. From there, transfer to Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru, an extremely significant tourist destination and cultural site for the Batoro people. It has an incredible past, and the gorgeous vegetation that surrounds it will wow you. To visit the three crater lakes, you will then walk up Kyeganywa hill. Additionally, you will take some pictures for remembrance. After an amazing adventure, get back to the lodge to unwind in the evening, have dinner and a nighttime stay.

Day 5: Transfer Back to Kampala. Departure.

At dawn, you will rise for breakfast and get ready to checkout of the lodge. After there, you’ll get on the return journey to Kampala.

Once you have lunch in Mubende, you will then proceed to Kampala. Our driver will drop you at an agreed place.
