The 17 days Uganda Wildlife tour has been designed to enable the traveler to have an enjoyable experience in Uganda’s untouched areas.
Itinerary Highlights:
Day 1: Arrive in Uganda.
You will thereafter undertake the drive to the hotel in Kampala where you will rest and relax. Afterwards, delicious meals will be served and you will be accommodated for the night. Unwind and prepare for the exciting activities the next day.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. Branch to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Trekking. Evening Drive to the Top of the Falls.
The activity will keep you occupied until midday when you will be served lunch.
Continue to Murchison Falls National Park and drive to the Top of the Falls for an aerial view of the most powerful waterfalls in the world. In addition, you will take some nice photographs for remembrance. Head to the lodge afterwards to rest and relax.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive. Afternoon Boat Cruise on the Nile to the view of Murchison Falls.
The game drive will give you up-close encounters with the beautiful animals therein for instance African Bush Elephants, Lions, giraffes, and several bird species. Head back to the lodge in the mid-morning to relax and have lunch.
You will conduct an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile to view the famous Murchison Falls and will also stand a chance to watch aquatic animals. Transfer back to the lodge at sunset to unwind, have dinner, and rest for the night.
Day 4: Morning Game drive. Afternoon Sport Fishing.
This will present additional opportunities to view animals, for instance the wild cats. Enjoy the drive through the diverse landscapes until midday when you will transfer back to the lodge for lunch.
In the Afternoon, you will embark on a sport fishing activity on the Nile River where you will have the opportunity to catch some of the fish species that live within. Thereafter at sunset, head back to the lodge to rest and relax. Subsequently, dinner will be served at twilight and you will be accommodated for the night.
Day 5: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. Evening Nature Walk.
Check out and get on the road for the drive. It will take you through the various local communities and marvelous landscapes. On arrival in the park, you will continue to the hotel to get served lunch and relax a little in the serene environment.
In the evening, you will undertake a nature walk through the forest to get immersed in the beauty of nature in its purity. After that, you will head back to the lodge at sundown to relax, have dinner, and be accommodated overnight.
Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking. Explore Bigodi Sanctuary for Bird watching.
After there, you go ahead and meet the rangers of the park who will brief you about the chimpanzee trekking activity you have yet to experience. The rangers will then accompany you to the jungle to meet the exciting primates. The activity will take you until midday when you will get back to the lodge to have lunch. Additionally, after lunch you will explore the Bigodi Wetlands of the park. They are a renowned sanctuary for birds that you will marvel at.
Thereafter, you will transfer back to the lodge at sunset and unwind in the conducive environment of the lodge. Have dinner and rest for the night.
Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Sightseeing Stopovers along the way. Afternoon visit to the Kikorongo Women’s Community.
Additionally, there will be several stopovers along the way for you to marvel at the extraordinary beauty the pearl of Africa is endowed with. Continue to the lodge in the park and rest. You will have lunch at around midday.
After lunch, you will visit the Kikorongo Women Community for an amazing Cultural experience where you will get insights into the day-to-day lives of a typical Ugandan society. Head back to the lodge later at sunset to have dinner, rest and relax.
Day 8: Morning Game Drive. Afternoon Water Safari on Kazinga Channel.
After there, you will conduct a game drive through the various parts of the park. The drive will allow you to observe the various wildlife species in the park, especially lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas, and birds. The drive will end in the mid-morning and you will transfer to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Transfer to the Kazinga Channel for an exhilarating water safari. The cruise will allow you to view more animals for instance; the hippos and birds, especially the handsome francolins, African fish eagles, piapias, egrets, sunbirds, great blue turacos, secretary birds, and African darters. Subsequently, you will travel back to the lodge at eventide to have dinner, a sundowner, and rest for the night.
Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. R&R.
The journey will take you through the Ishasha sector where you will observe the tree-climbing lions up-close in the figs. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and relax at the lodge. Have meals and rest overnight.
Day 10: Gorilla Trekking. Batwa Cultural Encounter.
You will transfer to the park headquarters where you will have a briefing about the exciting mountain gorilla trek you have yet to experience.
The ranger guides will then lead you into the jungle to ensure that you meet the gentle giants. The activity will take you until the afternoon when you travel back to the lodge to have lunch.
Later in the afternoon, you will visit the Batwa Community in the vicinity of the park. The locals will entertain you and provide insights into the kind of life they live. Interact with the locals until sunset when you will travel back to the lodge to have dinner and rest for the night.
Day 11: Travel South to Lake Mutanda for sightseeing. Continue to Mgahinga National Park. Evening Nature walks in the park.
The lake is popular for its astonishing views. It is a perfect place for sightseeing and photography which you will indulge in. Continue to Mgahinga National Park. Head to the lodge, have lunch, and relax. Afterwards, in the evening, you will have a nature walk through the lush forests. This will allow you to view the various flora and fauna species of the park as you feel the breeze of the natural environment.
Later at twilight, transfer back to the lodge to unwind, have dinner, and rest for the night time.
Day 12: Golden Monkey Trekking. R&R.
Get briefed by the rangers and afterwards make your way into the jungle to meet the golden monkeys. The activity will keep you occupied the entire morning. Transfer back to the lodge later past midday for lunch and relaxation. Subsequently, you will have dinner at sunset and rest for the night.
Day 13: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Canoeing, Bird watching, and Sightseeing.
The lake is renowned for its breathtaking beauty encompassing tens of islands. Thereafter, undertake a canoeing activity that will unveil the wonderful views of the islands, lush vegetation, and birds.
After that, transfer to the lodge in the afternoon to have a delicious lunch. Afterward, you will go on a nature walk in the evening to allow you to view the wonderful species in the vegetation around the lake. Head back to the lodge at sunset to unwind and relax in the lodge premises.
Afterward, you will have dinner at sunset and rest for the night.
Day 14: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Afternoon Bike Tour.
You will afterward head to the lodge on arrival in the park to have lunch. After lunch, you will undertake an exciting bike tour through the national park. Later at sundown, you will transfer back to the lodge to have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 15: Morning Game drive. R&R. Evening Guided Nature Walk.
After that, head back to the lodge at midday to have lunch and relax in the spacious and serene environment. An evening nature walk will take place in the park which will enable you to appreciate the endowments of the park even more. Transfer back to the lodge at even tide to have dinner and relax.
Day 16: Visit Igongo Cultural Centre for the Hike to Biharwe Eclipse monument and an Ankole Museum visit. Transfer back to Kampala. Stop over at the Kayabwe Equator Spot for the Coriolis effect experience.
You will undertake the hike to the Biharwe eclipse monument and after visit the Ankole Museum to have insights into the history of the Ankole people. Have lunch at the hotel and afterwards get on the road for the journey back to Kampala.
Subsequently, you will stop at the Kayabwe equator spot to enjoy the Coriolis effect that showcases the natural physics of the Earth’s equilibrium. Continue to the Hotel in Kampala to rest and relax. Later at twilight, you will have dinner after which you will rest for the night.
Day 17: Departure.
Arise at your time of wish in the morning and have breakfast. Thereafter, check out of the lodge and transfer to Entebbe International Airport to catch the flight back home.
