Trip highlights: 7 Days Uganda Ultimate Gorilla Safari Itinerary offers a visit to both Mgahinga and Bwindi Impenetrable National Parks. Undoubtedly you will start the safari driving from Entebbe town to Kisoro, where you will trek the Great Apes in Mgahinga National Park. You will then take part in the Batwa cultural experience; a tour through the pygmy community living at the boundaries of the park, learn more about them, their history, practices and get to visit their goddess and medicine man. You will then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will trek the Great Apes again. On the last day you will drive to Entebbe to catch your departure flight.
After arriving Entebbe International Airport, you will clear with immigration, proceed to the arrivals where you will meet your driver guide who will transfer you to your hotel for overnight stay.

You will enjoy a very early breakfast on this day and start your full day’s drive to the South Western part of Uganda having a stopover at the Equator; the imaginary line that divides the earth into two halves. You will take part in the experiment at the Equator. En-route to Kisoro. Dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for briefing and thereafter go to the start points and off you will proceed for the highlight of the safari. Trekking the Great Apes the Mountain Gorillas is a once in a lifetime and worthwhile experience which takes between 2–6 hours. This group was very mobile group that kept moving from Uganda to Rwanda. You will then return to your Lodge for lunch, dinner and overnight stay.

After a relaxed breakfast and lunch at your Lodge, you proceed for the activity of the day the Batwa trail experience. This trail starts from the base of Muhuvura cave. This walk could be referred to as a living museum because you will learn about the pygmy tribe that used to live in the Mgahinga National Park who were forced out and dropped their bushman lifestyle and rehabilitated in villages bordering the park.
This trail was developed for the Batwa pygmies to share their amazing traditions and heritage with the World and earn a source of income. This walk is conducted by Batwa guides who provides insights on their culture and lifestyle, learn about their past hunting experiences and ways of gathering honey. You will be shown the plants that they used for medicinal purposes and how to make bamboo cups. You will be accepted to visit their “sacred” Ngarama cave once home to the Batwa King. The women will perform a cultural dance for you.

After breakfast, you will be assisted with checking out and start your drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
