Trip highlights: 6 Days Volcano Discovery itinerary will take place in Rwanda; arriving and departing via Kigali International Airport. You will visit the Misty Volcanoes National Park home to the Great Apes and take part in a couple of adventures like trekking the Mighty Mountain Gorillas, hike Mount. Bisoke and trek the Golden Monkeys.
After you arrive Kigali International Airport, clear with immigration and proceed to the arrivals where you will meet your driver guide who will transfer you to your hotel for overnight stay.

Breakfast at your hotel, along with your driver guide you will start your drive to Musanze. Lunch and dinner at the Lodge.

A very early breakfast at the Lodge, with your driver guide proceed to the park headquarters for Gorilla trekking briefing and thereafter proceed to the starting point; for your amazing adventure. Proceed for your first encounter with the Mighty Great Apes, the Mountain Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. This activity could take between 2-6 hours. Rwanda has 12 habituated groups of Mountain Gorillas all over the Park. You will spend an hour with the Apes, watching the habituated group go about their normal day playing, eating… etc
You will then drive back to your Lodge where you will have lunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying their facilities.

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred for briefing at the park headquarters, then proceed to the trail heads.
Mount Bisoke is shared between Rwanda and the DR Congo. It is 3711 metres above sea level. The hike gets steeper and slippery as you go so it’s advised that you wear comfortable sturdy hiking boots and consider taking a porter along to help carry your day pack and support you. This is not an easy hike so it’s advised that you pace yourself so that you can make it to the top of the Volcanoe which has the beautiful Crater Lake Bisoke. Depending on your pace the hike to the Crater Lake could take between 2-4 hours. On the top of the Volcanoe you will enjoy beautiful views of the Crater Lake and border with the DRC Congo.

After a very early breakfast at the Lodge, drive to the park headquarters for briefing and thereafter drive to the trail heads for another highlight of the Volcanoes National Park, trekking the Golden Monkeys which usually takes 4 hrs. When you encounter the habituated Primates and spend an hour with them as they go about their normal day. The monkeys are playful and inquisitive by nature hence spend their day leaping from bamboo branches. After the trek, you will return to the Lodge to have lunch and spend the rest of the day enjoying the lodge facilities.

After a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, you will be assisted with checking out; then you will start your drive to Kigali International Airport to catch your departure International flight. Meal Plan: B & L
