Trip highlights: 6 Days Gorilla Sighting in Rwanda itinerary will take place in Rwanda; arriving and departing via Kigali International Airport. This Safari will take place in the Volcanoes area. You will visit the Misty Volcanoes National Park home to the Great Apes and take part in the experience of a lifetime trekking the Mighty Mountain Gorillas, enjoy a canoe ride on the twin lakes Burera and Ruhondo, kayaking on River Mukungu and hike to the Dian Fossey’s monument.
After you arrive Kigali International Airport, clear with immigration and proceed to the arrivals where you will meet your driver guide who will transfer you to your hotel for overnight stay.

Breakfast at your hotel, along with your driver guide you will start your drive to Musanze. Lunch and dinner at the Lodge.

A very early breakfast at the Lodge, with your driver guide proceed to the park headquarters for Gorilla trekking briefing and thereafter proceed to the starting point; trail heads for your amazing adventure. You will be trekking the Mighty Great Apes, the Mountain Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. This activity could take between 2-6 hours. Rwanda has 12 habituated groups of Mountain Gorillas all over the Park. You will spend an hour with the Apes, watching the habituated group going about their normal day playing and eating among others.
You will then drive back to your Lodge where you will have lunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying their facilities.

On this day after breakfast, you will proceed to enjoy a boat ride on the twin lakes Burera and Ruhondo in Rwanda. These lake are found halfway in between Musanze and the Uganda border. Due to their close proximity and one feeds into the other; these lakes are considered twin lakes. These lakes provide beautiful scenic views of the terraced hills and the crystal clear waters from the neighboring hills. Enjoy a canoe ride on the lakes viewing various bird life and the lush green and terraced hills surrounding them. And Kayaking on River Mukungu. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge.

After a very early breakfast at the Lodge, drive to the park headquarters for briefing and thereafter drive to the trail heads for another highlight of the Volcanoes National Park, The hike takes 3-4 hours and during this hike your guide will tell you about the impact of Dian Fossey. When you get to the site you will see ruins of her house and have an opportunity to visit her grave. Lying next to her is the grave of her favorite gorilla with others that were poached.

After a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, you will be assisted with checking out; then you will start your drive to Kigali International Airport to catch your departure International flight. Meal Plan: B & L
